Just Got 2 Hikvision AcuSense DS-2CD2346G1, one runs much hotter compare to other.
One is manufactured in 2019 and i measured temperature of the case at 49C/119F with ambient air temperature around 28C/82F.
Other manufactured in 2020 and runs considerably cooler, I did not take any measurements but felt like 38C-40C.

Is it normal for them to run so hot? Maybe newer one is different hardware revision so runs cooler?
Should I just return the "HOT" one?
 
All of these types of cameras run hot. A lot of processing on a little CPU in a tight little metal or plastic body. Some cams have been measured over 140F

Field of view differences between the two could result in one feeling warmer than the other. An active scene causes the CPU to run higher.

Settings differences between the two can cause one to run hotter than the other.

Could be a different chipset or hardware in each one.
