Foscam NVR - cannot see hard drove

Hi I have a Foscam FN3104W NVR but it can suddenly no longer see the hard drive. I've opened the case and checked the hard drive connections. Does this mean the hard drive is dead? Assuming it is, I am planning to order a Western Digital WD10EURX disk I've seen . Is this likely to arrive so I can just plug it in and format it? Thanks!

Very well could be dead, ideally I remove HDD's and place on an external USB dock for 3.5" and 2.5" drives to test them.
BTW, I'm a big WD fan but that green drive is not surveillance-rated as a WD Purple would be, so essentially I don't recommend the one you linked.
