I have a model G2 that has some issues. I got it used, and it would not come up. I requested and received the recovery image from Foscam and tried to recover from it. It did not seem to work, so I hooked up to the serial port to see what was happening. It does try to boot but runs into issues with 'No space on device" errors. When I run the recovery image (from SD Card), it does boot in recovery mode, does an erase, and then write of the flash:

_spi_flash_erase: addr 0x380000, len 0xc00000 100%(cost 48416 ms)
SF: 12582912 bytes @ 0x380000 Erased: OK
_spi_flash_write to 0x380000, len 0xc00000 from 0x21000000 100%(cost 22315 ms)
SF: 12582912 bytes @ 0x380000 Written: OK

It loads the Linux kernel and starts to come up but then runs into the no-space issue and goes into a loop trying to start the web GUI. I can break out of this and get to an "IPCamera Login:" prompt, but I can not figure out the login. I tried root / ipc.fos~ but that did not work. I think that if I can log in, I should be able to figure out why there is a space issue.

Does anyone have the login credentials?

Thank you.

I have a similar problem. User ID and password error. Ran the recovery image Foscam sent me. The IR lights come on during recovery process. After recovery rebooted the camera and used Foscam VMS to try to connect, still had old static IP and User ID and password error. Camera did not reset to factory defaults of DHCP and login credentials. Noticed the the camera recorded motion detected video to the SD card when it is powered on.
Ran recovery several times with same results.
You mentioned you connected via the serial port? What is the process to connect to the serial port?
