Flower Deliveryman Shot and Killed

One of my 5241s that is set up for license plate capture happened to record a murder. It was a tragic and utterly senseless shooting but the video helped identify and locate the shooter and he is behind bars now. It's a bit graphic so I won't share the video directly but here is the news clip that shows some of it. The news crew recorded video of the video playing on the monitor (does that make sense?) So it is not great quality but its an interesting story. It happened about 150ft from the camera and you can still almost read their lips. Those 5241s are pretty amazing.

Eric Locelvira, 22, was arrested on a warrant Thursday at his home in the 4100 block of North Narragansett Avenue in the Dunning neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

That's right. He packed up and left for Chicago (got that on camera too) and the US Marshalls picked him up about 10 days later.

This is common because it is massively easier (and safer!) than getting properly exported video files. Ease almost always wins over quality.
