Harbor Freight for $ 10.00 33 feet total (10 pcs x 3 ft each)

I see that even Lowes now carries Fish sticks (shorter length slightly larger diameter & 3 x's the cost).

I bought the harbor freight one, Made life so much easier climbing in extreme low pitch Attic (20" clearance at ridge line) and getting out to the soffitsFish Sticks.jpg . I've run 300 feet of Cat6 (for 4 cams) so far, Now considering adding 1 in a location I thought impossible but now doable with this. I wish these existed (or I knew about them) 25 years ago when I did an addition on my house.

the glow in the dark ones are nice in an attic but you can't beat the price at hft.

Use with a bucket of pulling twine, can't go wrong.
Leave the line after pulling cable.
So your pull leave Cat6 and twine.
Pulling a 2nd cable later is SO much easier. And often, an additional cable is needed later.
Don't ask me how I know....

One of the best things I bought. I used steel fish tape trying to fish wires over ceiling tiles...what a pain. The fish rods are much better.

You like fish sticks....what are you, a gay fish?

I find that 1/2" pvc is quite effective in pushing Ethernet wire into an attic vent holes. I use 10 ft length and run it down the center with a short section out the end with a bit of colorful tape. it saves a lot of crawling around in the fiberglass.

No I added an Addition & had to run Electrical Wire for Ceiling Fans, interior outlets, Exterior Outlets on their own GFI circut, Exterior lights & , Telephone Copper, Speaker wires etc. One side of Addition I could use Metal Conduit tie into existing House Wiring, Other Half I ran Romex.
The Roof over the addition is flat 2"x8" Rafters. It's about 20 feet from the Ridge line to Edge of those flat rafters & no Crawl space to get to them due to HVAC mechanical & Duct Work.

All Done to Code with Permits. Only 2 items I subcontracted out was concrete work (raised floor 6" to match rest of interior of house) & the ceramic Tile. South Florida Ranch style house all CBS Construction.

I used PVC pipe and just kept adding pieces together as a push stick, but it was way more work than using these small fiberglass fish sticks available today.
