Firmware - Just Ordered IPC-5442T-ZE

I just made a order for this as was wondering if it comes with the latest FW from EmpireTech when it ships its out or will I need to update it out of the box?

I assume it has the latest most stable on it by default.

I want to try one and then eventually replace others if this cam suits my needs, so this is a tipping my toes sort of thing.

I saw a comment in the latest FW posting by Andy that there was a hardware change.. Andy would i be getting that hardware change if I just ordered the Cam?

I got my cams a few months ago from Andy and they came with the latest firmware at the time. Even if it doesn’t, it’s easy to install the firmware. No worries.

That’s good, yeah I have no issues with flashing it but it’s always preferred to have a working one and not having to do it thus reducing the risk of bricking it.
Hope I get the “new hardware”

I just got one yesterday from Andy's Amazon store and it came with firmware: V2.800.15OG002.0.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03

I just got one yesterday from Andy's Amazon store and it came with firmware: V2.800.15OG002.0.R, Build Date: 2020-09-03

The firmware I find in this forum with that build date is a different one: V2.800.0000000.20.R.200903.
Those with similar names (but G004 instead of G002) have Build Dates 20.10.19 and 20.12.03.

I'm struggling to find out which is the newest stable firmware for IPC-T5442TM-AS. Apparently the one from 20.12.03. Or this one is only for the Smart IR issues? Can anybody confirm? Thanks.
