Finally, on Sunday night I got to install my two driveway cams permanently. I've spent the past two nights fiddling with the exposure and picture and looking for some feedback. I tried running them in color but I couldn't get a clean enough still image. It was I'm sure good enough for some people but wasn't cutting it for me. These are the 5442T-ZE cams. The first two pics are with two 60 watt incandescent Edison style bulbs in barn lights. The second two pics are with two 5.5 watt 800 lumen 2700k bulbs, all the settings were kept the same. The subject is 12' from the camera and it is mounted 9' high in the soffit. We had some rain earlier in the night so the ground is still a bit wet.

I think it looks good. Would be more interesting to see videos with movement.

It would be interesting to see how colour looks.

I have two more cams to put up out front, I was thinking of making the one that is going to go on the west side of the garage to cover the door in color. I don’t think ID is as important on that one because you will have to walk past the garage west car camera to get to the door anyway.
