I've been running a Dell OptiPlex 3010 exclusively for BI for many years. It has 16gb of RAM, 256 GB SSD with an Intel i5-3470 3.2GHZ CPU. I have an NVIDIA Quadro P400 GPU installed as well. In BI I have 17 cameras and I'm using Code Project AI. The CPU usually idles between 25% - 30%.

I guess if it isn't broke don't fix it, just curious if I would gain any noticeable performance improvements by upgrading to something newer. I just saw an HP EliteDesk 800 G3 SFF | i5-6500 | 32GB | 500GB SSD on eBay for under $200 and it has me thinking.

Thanks

If it is working, why bother LOL. You may see CodeProject times improve, but is it enough to justify?

If you are going to upgrade, better to go with like the i5-8500 than can run Win11 if ever needed to upgrade. They can be had for less than $200.
