'Event' logging with NVR

I have two PTZ cameras that record 24/7, 2DE4A220 and 2DE4A204.

I want them to record 24/7 (as they currently do) but I also want to be able to playback only 'events' via the NVR interface.

I just can't get this to work the way I want. Do I have to set recording to event only?
