I am unable to figure out why the email alerts stopped working recently. The web hosting service which I have always been using for SMTP claims there is nothing wrong on their end. Whenever the camera's alert gets triggered from HomeSeer, the log shows 'Error with connecting server . . .' just as the 'Test' feature on the Alerts tab shows, too.
So instead of this User Defined server, I tried Outlook, and got the service integrated with BlueIris, and this email also doesn't work. And now the Demonstration.wav won't even play when it is the lone item enabled in the alert list. The log does sow 'Triggered: External.'
