Dual-Lens - Can you record each lens separately?

Cameras that have 2 lenses like IPC-Color4K-T180

I read Wildcat's review and it says it is 2 separate sensors that are stitched together, but what if I wanted each image sensor to be kept separate, is that possible?
 
The first question is 'why would you want to?'... because then you have two cameras which do not have independent movement and it would occupy two channels?

Untested by me and do at your own risk:
This is from API v3.18 document. It appears to change the splicing mode of the dual-lens 180 cameras (binocular camera seems to be the term used for this type of camera in the API doc).
