My first experience with Hikvision very disappointing! Installed & fired-up SADP & found camera right away. Tried to configure with static ip of 192.168.0.105 with port 8087, subnet 255.255.255.0 & gateway of 192.168.0.1 .

Could not find camera in any browser. Then, tried to reset everything to default & now stuck on this config & cannot modify anything :(

Any help or advice as to what step to take next would be much appreciated!

Send the camera back. (Only joking).

Download SADP v3.0.0.2 and activate the camera first. The instructions come in the box and it's hard to miss them, so not exactly Hikvision's fault that you haven't read that or used the software that came with the camera.
 
Thank you Del Boy. Got the old cd with the camera. Downloaded the SADP on Hikvision site & all is well.
