Why is my Blue Iris system putting .dat files in the alerts folder?

This appears new to me and I am not sure why it is happening.
 
That makes sense.

I am attempting to upgrade to the newest version of deepstack and Bitdefender keeps alerting on the .dat files in the alerts folder.

Those .dat file must be the data stored with the results from deepstack.
