Does the cameras install position matter? It has the up stamped on the top right next to the sd card door and that just seems like a bad spot. Would it not be better to have the door on the bottom of the camera? I know it can mirror and do a 180 flip so the image woud be the same but I don't know if it will affect any of the other features. Like would ivs rules or animal / human tracking be affected by it. I just don't see why they put the door on the top

I think they put it on top so that someone cannot reach up and access the card if it was at the bottom, but that is just my speculation.
If you flip the image in the GUI, it is no big deal to rotate it. Now in some instances, you may get IR bounce back off a soffit as you would now put the IR closer.
