That camera is a dome, so if it has audio capabilities, it will require a powered external microphone such as this: Bullet Mic Review | IP Cam Talk

Stick with Turret cams, that most have builtin mics. (20) Review-OEM IPC-T3241-ZAS 2mp AI Lite series Varifocal | IP Cam Talk
Looking at the camera it looks like you need and external microphone plugged in to the "audio in" cable on the camera, especially since it's a PTZ and the motor noise would be kind of loud in the audio.
Not a good quality camera, a 4MPcameras with a 1/3 sensor, that is also a dome. Also a 2.8MM lens will allow you to identify only 12FT for the camera. The purpose of a surveillance camera is to ID the bad guy.
The dome gets dirty and reflects white and IR light, It also collect dew at night. Resulting in a poor quality picture.
On a 4MP camera go with a 1/1.8 sensor. Determine what you need the identify distance to be, then pick a lens. Or better yet get a variable focus camera.
More than likely on the camera you will not be able to upgrade the software.
