An opensource 4K/60 with Starlight, VariFocal and PTZ in a compact turret form factor for $149 is my dream.... but I'll settle for 4K/30 Starlite fixed
Goals:
Here's where I'm at now:

My prototype is a Raspberry Pi Zero W with PoE with motionEye. The sensor is OV5640. IR lights not pictured.
There's also this : CUBE | PINE64 but it looks like they are switching out the Sony sensor for a OV5640 so I'm concerned about poor to no low light performance.
Using motioneyeOS:

I've checked out BlueIris and it has rave reviews but doesn't work on linux.. so I'll also be building my own version of that.
My next steps will be to source a 4K starlight sensor.
Will include some comparison pictures soon!
Goals:
- 4K / 30 fps
- H.265
- PoE, Gigabit / 1000 Mbps
- 100% stable
- 100% secure
- ONVIF
- microSD backup
- 1-way listen microphone
