Disabling Digest Authentification On Dahua Cameras?

Hi.
Is it possible to completely disable authentication from a Dahua camera? or at least, switch it from digest auth to regular auth?
I was successfully able to use digest auth with python to send api requests, but JavaScript is proving to be very difficult.

any help would be appreciated.
