Hey,

One of my long running cameras has been falling offline and I am unable to login to it remotely or view it. The only thing that works is when I unplug the ethernet of the camera from the back of the NVR and replug it back in. I am not sure why this is happening. I have checked the settings and everything seems to be configured properly. This started happening about 2 weeks ago. Its really frustrating have to run to my NVR every time this camera goes down. Any idea on what I can do to resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

Is the camera outside? If so, when you installed it did you properly protect the RJ45 connection with a dab of dielectric grease on the pins, self vulcanizing tape and a layer of quality electrical tape? Is the cable pure, solid, copper not CCA, copper clad aluminum? Easiest way to diagnose, for sure, is to bring the camera inside and test it with a known, good, cable.
