.DAT files in video storage folder

I recently noticed that I am seeing .dat files in the storage folders where previously I only had the .bvr video files.

The first .dat files were created on 05/05/2025, which might coincide with an update I did on Blue Iris. I did not make any changes to the camera configuration at that time.
I've seen mention of .dat files being related to AI/Codeproject, but I do not use any of those features. When trying to open the .dat file in Blue Iris, it stats that the file is corrupt.

A new feature since 5.9.9.44. Leave them alone.

[5.9.9.44] Database metadata is now stored alongside BVR files in separate .DAT files. If the database is ever lost or alerts are deleted, they may be restored from these files.

I highly suggest that after each BI update, that you read the "Update Notes" in the help file.
