WrightwoodSurveillance got in a batch of the 12X zoom version of the popular SD59230S-HN for $659. These have the advantage over the lesser expensive dome version that they sell for $499 in that they have IR LEDs and can tilt 15 degrees over the horizon. The disadvantage is they are 24V but come with the power supply, the smaller domes are PoE+.

For most home suburban type installs, 12X is plenty of zoom and a lot less expensive than the $899 for the 30x version.

Why when I look in the wrightwood website, it says the 12x is 659.00 and the 30x is 899.00?

I misread what you wrote, sorry. I guess I sold my 2mp 30x too cheap, huh? LOL

Good quality and good price for that camera. If it only didn't look like an egg. I'm a big fan of the Dahua small dome with 3x zoom though, beautiful and functional.
