Hello everyone,

I received my Dahua nvr4208-8p-4ks2 and two camera's. I just installed my purple HDD. Is the light on front panel suppose to be lit? The hard drive is recording but no light.

I believe the light comes on once your drive is full... Even if it's set to overwrite once full. Once you go into the menu and format the drive again it goes off.
I guess its a bug in the firmware. It does now harm unless you are strong with OCD and need the light on, If that is the case don't format once the drive is full and as long as it's set to overwrite it will continue recording and you will have a light on

Thanks for the reply. No OCD (but wife say's I am)LOL just what to make sure something was not wrong.
