I have a Dahua NVR5464-4KS2 recorder, it has been working without any problems for 9 years but recently a few problems have appeared. All cameras are visible via the Web interface. In applications such as SmartPSS for Windows 10 or DMSS for Android I have lost this option. In applications the recorder is connected but there is no possibility to expand the cameras connected to it. Restoring the configuration from a backup does not solve this problem.

The second problem is that the recorder disappears from the network after the weekly autorestart. The device most often goes into a mode requiring re-initialization and I can find the device at the default IP address. I replaced the battery on the motherboard but the problem still exists. After initialization and transferring the device to the target network, the problem is solved. The remaining configuration is not lost. The problem does not occur with a regular restart.

Has anyone encountered similar problems?

FYI, the battery on the NVR's motherboard only maintains its realtime clock/calendar when power is interrupted, it stores no configurations.

Is it possible the NVR's LAN settiing is on DHCP and after a "normal" restart it receives a different IP from the router on different subnet? I mention because you say it's "found" after it's initialized wherein it's defaulted to the 192.168.1.108 IP address.

Thanks for the information about the battery.

On the router in DHCP I have assigned the target address to the MAC address of the recorder. It looks like after restarting it goes to a static, we assume IP address, but connecting via ConfigTool does not confirm that this setting changes.

Generally, the device has been behaving strangely recently. I am close to deciding to replace the device, but first I wanted to find out the cause of the problems. In my computer network I use Unifi Dream Machine.
