Dahua Firmware for ToughDog IPC-HDW2431TP-AS

I've inherited some ToughDog branded cameras that are rebranded Dahua IPC-HDW2431TP-AS. I'm having issues with the MAINSTREAM not working correctly with my NVR solution and want to flash them to their generic Dahua firmware to see if that helps. I've done some digging and found a firmware on Dahua's FTP site named IPC-HDW2431T-AS-S2. Do you guys think that firmware will work? I don't have a copy of the original ToughDog firmware to revert to if it bricks it, so I'm hesitant about flashing without confirmation. Thanks.

Where did you find that the ToughDog cameras were rebranded Dahua? I'm asking because there is a local ToughDog dealer that I'd like to do business with if I can.

I have the ToughDog catalog in front of me, trying to match specs between the ToughDog and Dahua (Empire tech IPC-T54IR-AS 6mm), but nothing is an exact copy, The Specs on the Dahua are better in most cases when compared the ToughDog turret cam that seems like the closest match. ToughDog doesn't even offer a 6mm lens except in varifocal.
I like to buy local if I can, but sometimes, it's not possible.
