i have about 40 cameras, all set up with 10fps, direct to disk and after this last update my cpu went from around 70% to around 85%, sometimes pegging red in the 90-95% range. not really sure why, but i still have 6 more cameras to add and now i know for sure that this will be a problem. I guess i could take the frame rate down to 7 on most cameras but i wish i could figure out what jumped it up 15%. Anyone else having this problem?

Did you revert back to previous build and see if the CPU dropped ? 70% is not ideal anyway. BTW mine did not change.

not sure how to revert back. I will look into it and try it. Are you saying 70% is too high? With 40 cameras, i figured it was expected. What is ideal, 60%? Im sort of a rookie with blue iris.

Without any details about your system and cameras percentages are meaningless

I also noticed higher CPU after installing the update. I two Hikvision IP cameras and blue iris on a plain vanilla Dell XPS 8900 with i7, win 10 pro 64 bit, 16GB ram, and a Nvidia GTX 750 Ti. Cpu went from 14-16 to 24-25 with the new version. I reverted to 4.5.3.0 and it dropped back to 14-16.

Screenshot_20170505-231335.png I'm running 4.5.4 now. 5 Dahua's 4 are starlight turrets and 1 SD59 ptz. Running on an extremely vanilla Dell i7-6700 8GB ram with no video card. Using on board video. My cpu usage is down to about 2-3% and will trickle up to about 7% but always back down. Running all 5 cams at 15fps. Direct to Disk and all hardware acceleration on.

wow would love to be running on 2%, thats nuts! im bringing it down slowly but shorly. I have 41 cams and am running now at about 55-60% still need to check the acceleration, to see if its working. i have a c224 chipset with xeon e3-1241 v3 quad core and 16gigs of ram
