Continous recording to SD card

I'm setting up a camera to monitor a street scene. It's fairly busy most of the time so it's not possible to set trip wires or boxes to trigger recording. Is it possible to set the camera to continually record to the SD card on the camera? If so, how long would it record before writing over previous data? 128Gb card.

rough estimate (@10FPS) for 2MP cam is about 5 days or 2 days for an 8mp (4k) cam...
