Consuming video direclty on the camera (/dev/xxx)

Hi Guys,

Im trying to process video directly on the camera, to do so im getting RTSP from localhost:554.

My question is, is it possible to get raw video from any /dev/xxx ??
Anyone has experience with this ?

Through VideoLan application open Network stream with the following
For an NVR try rtsp://username: password@NVRIP:554/streaming/channels/102
For a camera try rtsp://username: password@CameraIP:54/Streaming/Channels/101 (101 for main stream OR 102 for substream)

This subject has been discussed extensively in this forum.
 
he is has hacked into the camera and wants to know how to obtain raw video from hardware, not how to remotely stream RTSP..
