Confused regarding viewing IP Cam through IE explorer

Hi all, run everything through Dahua 16 port Poe NVR but borrowed an old ish laptop that doesn’t have edge to be able to get into cams directly but after going through web to NVR the icons for ie are greyed out and can’t open anything!!! Any ideas what causes this please ? Even tried pale moon but still the same

You probably need to enable Virtual Host under Network -> TCP/IP to be able to click the icons.

Thanks for quick reply jarrow!! Was able to do so on previous NVR with a work laptop before a power failure meant buying a new.NVR and can’t remember enabling this feature!! Where is this enabled? NVR or laptop please ??

It's in the NVR under Settings -> Network -> TCP/IP.
Think it's normally enabled by default.

What type of NVR do you have?

Good evening everyone just an update!! Checked nvr and remote host wasn’t enabled so obviously did so and now the blue e icon is blue!!! Clicked one of my cams and a new window opened and is asking me to accept P2P !! Should I do so or not ? Many thanks will try and go through the forum to find anything out but wanted to know what anyone recommended cheers

Every new Dahua NVR and camera wants to turn on P2P by default on initiation until you tell it no

Many thanks bigredfish so just uncheck and continue, and in your opinion use this direct method to do all main changes to system?

Yes. And if in the future you decide you want to use P2P you can easily turn it on
