Howdy folks:
I am looking at setting up an IP camera system. Want to run Blue Iris, but do not have a PC. Was thinking about picking up a PC with the following specs:
Make: HP
Model: Compaq 6200
Processor: Intel Core-i5 Quad Core 2500 3.10 GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 | Supports up to 32GB
Hard Drive: 250GB SATA 7200 RPM
I would be running either HIKVISION or Dahua 4MP cameras, likely 4 of them off of this machine.
I know that people recommend that Haswells from ebay for 300. I am up in Canada, given the US/CAD exchange right now, and shipping, this would be a bit of a pricey touch. The above mentioned computer I can get for $150. I would probably upgrade the RAM and definitely upgrade the hard drive.
Thoughts?
