Communications cable UL Listings

This is an honest question and I'm not trying to be rude. I didn't want to hi-jack a thread that brought this question to mind.

How many of you verify the UL listings on your cable with the UL database? Does the UL listing mean anything to you? What are your opinions?

I kinda feel like if you offer me a cable with a false UL marking, how can I depend on any of your other claims, specifications, ratings, plenum-rating, etc?

I have never worried about UL listings on network/communications cable. But I agree if you find a cable with false UL markings then you should not trust anything else about it.
