I want to run Blue iris on a dedicated server pc, my office and home is on the same premises all the buildings are hard wired with ethernet cable. I want to be able to have the server running and have a PC viewing and be able to control the ptz's in both my house and Office, is this possible to achieve and still get the same video performance? Also note i have about 17 dahua cameras, mixed, ip and hdcvi's all connected to my dahua XVR, unfortunately i have lost some of the functionality of my XVR due to the amount of cameras.
The reason for this is because i want to use the smart motion detection of my IP cameras and then link a PTZ to that area and then be able to track the person or vehicle. With this software it seems doable, otherwise i'll have to use DSS, but Blue Iris just seems to have more functionality and options and easier to use and easy to access on mobile devices.
