Cannot reset password for Dahua NVR302A - 08/8P - 4KS2

Hello all,

I purchased a home with a security camera system using20200512_135928.jpg a NVR302A - 08/8P - 4KS2. The model number yielded the brand as Dahua on Google search but this might be sold to another company so it does not have the name Dahua on it. (More details about this is further down here)

I do not have the admin password since the previous owner forgot the password. I want to reset it. For some reasons the first time I tried to set up the system it let me input my email address in the system. When I tried to reset the password, it showed a QR Code and instructed me to scan the QR code and sent the code to support_gpwd@htmicrochip.com. After that I received a confirmation email said that the security code will be sent to my email address. However I never received any email with that code. I have repeated these steps several times without success.

I contacted Dahua of North America and they said:

"We cannot verify the serial/model number that you have provided. Even though your product may state Dahua, it is possible that it was purchased through a third party and then sold in this market. Our Support team is only able to assist in Dahua product that are geared for North America as we do not have the correct tools to troubleshoot your product.
I suggest you to contact the person or company where you purchased the system from for a better assistance.

The serial number for the recorder shows that its is from DETECH SECURITY CORPORATION. Please contact them so you can get the password reset"

I searched for Detech Security Corporation but I learned that this company name now changed to Savvy Tech Security at www.savvytechsecurity.com. The site is a dead end. I called a number I found on a search for Detech Security Corporation (Industry City, CA) but they didn't answer the call nor call me back.

Anyone know how I can get the password reset or contact the right company? Please advise. Thank you in advance!
