Hello all, I am new to cctv and this forum. I am hoping somebody can help me out with a problem I just can not understand.
I built a pc to use for cctv purposes and 2 Hikvision dome cameras. I loaded Hikvision storage software and IVMS-4200. I set up the cameras to record to the pc (wd 2gb purple drive) with no problem.
I decided to get another Hikvision camera, I have set it up ok and I can view it on the pc but I just can not get it to record. I also installed another wd 3gb purple drive and formatted it so the storage now says 4.5gb.
Everything is set up the same on the 3rd camera as the other 2 but it just wont record. Am I missing something? Is there a step that is easily missed?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
