Can a Hikvision 180 ColorVu DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL 8MP be wall mounted without the Long Camera Wall Mount?

I am in the process of upgrading a Hikvision cam system and I live in Florida where I need to be concerned about Tropical Storms and Hurricanes in addition the cam being stolen. I am looking at a DS-2CD2387G2P-LSU/SL 8MP and I want to know if I have to use the wall mount or if it can be directly mounted as is on the wall.

If you have a big enough hole that you can shove the pigtail and wiring back in, then yes you can mount to a wall.
