hi guys i was wondering if there's a dahua camera for smoke stack . i got q case study , if there's a Dahua camera that is looking at the smoke stack if it detect or see the smoke that is comming out is black(bad) or white(good) .appreciate for you the help

What distance will the camera need to be mounted from the smoke stack?

Just get a camera with a decent amount of zoom.

If you need the computer to take some automatic action depending on the color of the smoke, well, good luck with that. Your best bet might be to hire a software engineer specializing in AI image analytics, and $100,000 later you can let us know how it turned out.

Per @SkyLake suggestion, if you are familiar with python, check out Adrian Rosebrock's blog, where he talks about implementing face recognition, text detector, object ID and tracking, etc. using OpenCV and python. He gives instructions and his code for you to experiment with:
