Camera AI and BlueIris

Hi All,

Apologies if this is a very basic question, also please point me in the right direction if this info is readily available!

I am looking to purchase some cameras which have AI as part of them (Dahua 5442 Series - PC-HFW5442E-ZE). It mentions that it has object missing, face detection, tripwires etc.

Am I right in thinking that I cannot use that with BlueIris and that's only if you are recording to Dahua NVR's or the onboard SD Card?

I am sure I read somewhere where someone recommended getting a camera with AI to remove some of the processing from BlueIris, but I may have got that the wrong way around!

You are correct in that you can use the basic human and vehicle AI within the camera to trigger BI. Or any of the other AI to trigger Blue Iris.
