Bricked Dahua DHI-NVR52A16-16P-4KS2 - Any thoughts?

Had a system that I need to replace the HDD, repalced and booted back up fine.

Against what should have been my better judgment, I upgraded from 3.x to 4.x latest...mistake!

Logo screen with Dahua NVR 4.0 came up a few times and now that don't even happen.

Connected to RS232 and tried a update by renaming the 3.x-firmware to "update.img"

As you can see after the printenv output, it loads the file TFTP but then fails.

Are there other files or some other steps I can try?

Are you using a null modem serial cable. It’s been a while and I really don’t remember anything about it but I know that was a requirement. Information in this post may or may not be useful

+1 on a how-to to flash Dahua firmware Hi MixManSC Very cool! Thanks for sharing! Would enjoy seeing a nice how-to on this. Wonder why Lorex stripped support for the cameras like the SD1A203T. +1 on a how-to on flashing firmware. I have the same NVR and would love IVS capabilities.
