Brand new HikVision NVR Keeps Rebooting

Hello,

Just purchased and installed a brand new HikVision NVR model# DS-7208HQHI-F2. It was running fine for about 8 hours and then started to reset itself every couple of minutes. It's running firmware version V3.4.80.Build 161130 and has a 1TB WD Purple hard drive.

Has anyone else run into this problem and if there's a solution can you please share?

The most common reasons to this kid of problem, are HD and power supply.

Do this test: Disconnect the HD, and let the NVR running for several minutes.

If you know how, you can test the output voltage of the power supply, and the voltage that is arriving on the board.
 
Thanks for responding, I can disconnect the HD and let the NVR run; I don't have a multi-meter to test the voltage levels. Will share the results soon...

This is what I did:

1. Powered up the unit
2. Ran a full in-depth bad sector test on the HDD; all sectors were 'green'
3. Power cycled the unit again

And it seems to be stable now, will keep monitoring it and report back if there are any issues.
