Latest Blueiris update from March 31st adds direct support for Deepstack AI

5.4.0 - March 31, 2021

Support for DeepStack integration (without the separate AI Tools package) via new Settings
AI page. DeepStack may be used for object classification to confirm alerts containing
persons, vehicles, pets, and more.

works perfectly...
how is it possible to get Image Alert with the object triggered ? It seems that my alert images are 5 seconds before the objetc is shown

It comes down to how you have configured your motion detection. Add a longer duration time (make time) is one way. Another way is to tell Deepstack to take 5 additional images.

The settings page only seems to enable / disable the new functionality along with setting port number and deepstack location. Where is the facility to choose what item's to trigger on?
Is this dependant upon installation of the On Guard add on?

No add ons are required other than installing deep stack. Read the other thread and the help file.

Not sure which other thread you are referring to but I have found additional information in the BI help file.
In case others have a similar issue in finding info on the new BI deepstack integration you need to scroll up from the initial configuration section. It is integrated with instructions on the Sentry Alert section Page 61.

I still have not managed to find the AI setup page and am assuming it is only visible once deepstack is installed as a Windows app which is a little frustrating for those of us that use the Docker implementation. I tried pointing to my docker / deepstack port but still don't see the setup menu :(

The primary thread on this new integration that is linked in the posts above.
The AI setup is done in the camera trigger tab and it's visible regardless.

Yep - incredible integration and not buggy for first implementation. If your motion settings were already set up to eliminate most false triggers, this will take it to the next level!

I've made me motion settings more sensitive again to pass more on to DeepStack - Also dropped it back to simple as well in BI

FYI these are the labels DeepStack can look for

bear, zebra, giraffe, backpack, umbrella, handbag, tie, suitcase,

Is t possible to filter in BI on these labels?

I'm assuming I'm missing something simple but when trying to enable Deepstack server in global AI, get the "Could not start; check path" message...can someone help pls?...should the Deepstack server IP/port match the BI server/port?
Thanks!

You need to install deepstack and read the blue iris help file which specifically says not to use the same port.

I'm so pleased with this new addition to BI!
So far, it is working very well when it comes to detecting people or cars.
...However I have tried to add "cat" to the list and so far I get no positives at all
I have tried a number of things (including chasing my cat with a camera)
I am wondering whether I am doing anything wrong?

Maybe someone has answered this before and I'm just blind with AI tools I'm recording substreams 24/7 and mainstream when AI detects an object can I do the same with the direct integration I could not figure out if it works how I would configure it.

Thanks

Deepstack like all current AI is not perfect - A few times now I've had the oposite where a cat is detected as a person!
