Blue Iris - Save video selection to clipboard - purpose and use

What I want to do but seems I can't. When playing back a video recording (not an alert clip), I set the start and end frame settings by using the right-click pop up menu. After this, then other options become active such as 'Convert/export' and 'Save video selection to clipboard'.

I thought if saving the video selection to the clipboard then I could access this clip from the Clipboard viewer on the left-hand side but that is not the case as I can't see any clipboard clips.

What is the purpose of the Save video selection to clipboard?

To save you a step of saving and then selecting copy then going to a location to paste it. Now you just select save to clipboard, go to a folder or drive or whatever and CTRL-V to paste it. At least that is what I do...maybe someone else has another purpose as well.

Ok, everything seems to be working now. When I was testing this an hour or so ago, the clipboard clips were not in the clipboard menu area, now they are.
