I fought iSpy for more than a year. After reading a user's description of Blue Iris ("Blue Iris is widely considered the gold standard"), I took the plunge. Wow. Running within 30-minutes or so. Cameras that I couldn't get running under iSpy up and configured in minutes. CPU not pegged. Smooth, dropped frame-free video playback. Amazingly low false motion detection rate.
I am impressed and relieved.
