I am using Blue Iris and a DS-2CD2032F-I. The screen appears like it 'melts' and then snaps back into place. This occurred very frequently setting off the motion detection. I increased the 'make time' to avoid the unnecessary alerts but now I am missing valid alerts.

I made a video of the issue to help you visualize.

I'm not sure if the issue is with the camera, Blue Iris, system resources, network, or PoE. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks for the help. You are correct in that the frame rate of the camera was 25 whereas BlueIris was set to 27.5. Both are now 25.

I also increased the buffer from 3mb to 20mb.

Thanks for your help!

You misunderstood. You need to set the Iframe interval in the CAMERA video settings. The fps setting in blue iris does NOTHING, it auto adjusts.

Happened again, although a lot less often. This shows my Cam & BI settings too.

Set your iframe interval to match your frame rate as instructed. Also uncheck use rdp/udp ports
