BI 4 adjust automatically grayed out

I have been looking in here at tips for setting things up in Blue Iris and have repeatedly seen advice on unchecking "adjust automatically". I have version 4 and that option is checked but grayed out. Does that mean "adjust automatically" is off by default?

Welcome to the forum..this is no longer necessary, there has been a change to the program in the recent updates.
