Bad image quality

Hi,
i have installed an outdoor ip cam (low price).
Image is 640x480 but is very bad!
It have big compression (i think) and quality is very low! (click on this image to enlarge photo):




A have installed a similar ipcam (low price) but an image is better!!

Suggestions ?

Hello Alberto.

That looks a lot like the 640x480 IP cameras I have experience with. I think yours has a particularly low quality lens, though, based on the uneven focus across the picture.

As most people on this forum will recommend, I recommend you look at Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I. The difference in image quality from what you have now will make your jaw drop.

Be aware that the camera typically does not come with a power adapter, and it will run on 12 volts or standard 802.3af PoE. It also does not support WiFi.
