Hi friends, I bought the 16 channel 2AI NVR from empiretech alongside some b54irs and 4k t180s. First couple days everything was going very smooth, then out of nowhere I get these random drops in my recordings, it takes forever to pull up the recordings and one B54IR went completely offline for a day now. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? It's driving me crazy

Ordered new hard drives for the NVR, but the fact that my other Z4E only stays online for an hour when i unplug and plug back in the cable is still a mystery to me :idk:

Thats the phone app I assume? Phone is great for remote viewing and playback, its a lousy management tool

Could be lots of things
Not likely the HD, my experience is they fail or they dont.
Could be your connection on your phone
Could be cabling
Could be recording isnt setup right on the NVR
and more

First, check the NVR directly, login to its Web GUI using the IP of the NVR with a web browser on a computer not a phone.
Go to PLAYBACK
Find the camera, is it showing gaps in recording?

Problem was initially on the GUI, was just confirming on the dmss app. The reason why I went straight to the hard drives is because they are barracuda greens instead of something like a WD purple, green ain’t meant for cctv so thats clear now. The Z4E is really driving me nuts though, starting to think its a bad poe port on the NVR or something

If its just that one cam, pretty simple to try another port.

Just unplug, delete the entry on the camera registration page, and plug into a different port

So are the hard drives showing the dropout on direct playback on the NVR GUI? I gather from what you said they are..

I would till try swapping ports first after a factory default
