Axis Camera Software For Hikvision Camera

Hi all,

I installed a trial version (30-day) of Axis Camera Station software to test out whether or not my Hikvision camera would work; However, it turns out that the software cannot find any Hikvision camera on the network (including search Hikvision camera by IP address).

So, my concerns are:

1. Are Axis cameras operating under different standard network protocol (HTTP, RTSP) and port number?
2. What are causes that I cannot connect Hikvision camera by using the Axis Camera Station software?
3. Is Axis Camera Station software is exclusive for Axis camera only?

Note: I installed a trial version of Blue Iris software and it can find my Hikvision camera.

@crew, welcome to the forum..it will only work with axis cameras/encoders/nvr's. This is common with OEM vms software...
