Auto Track // Smart Tracking

Hi,

I have recently bought a ptz ip dome DS-2DE4225IW-DE and have it installed and running fine.

I cant see an option for smart track and im unsure on how i can get the camera to track movement through its field of vision?

Can any one help me?

I have also had an issue with setting up the recording, i have a hikvision nvr, if i set up the smart events on the camera will the camera record using the NVR?

Not sure on your NVR question but pretty certain that camera does not support auto/smart tracking, which will explain why you cannot find options for it.

Unfortunately not. The cheaper models do not really have much in the way of 'smart' features. You will find you need to spend a bit more to get these. I have a DS-2DE4220IW-DE (which is the old 20x model) and this definitely doesn't have this feature, and looking at the specs of the 4225, it is virtually identical, and no mention of smart/auto tracking in the datasheet.
