Are Hikvision motion push notifications instant?

I just received my first IP camera (Foscam C1). It manages to send me a motion detection email, which is slow to get. Do the push notifications on the Hikvision app come instantly?

Does the app have to be open to receive them? What if the phone is asleep?

Are the motion detections fairly accurate? With the Foscam not so much. I was just walking around in the camera field of view, about 30 feet away, and nothing! Not until you get about 10 feet from the camera would it alert.

Foscam C1 does have push notifications; also, it has a real PIR, with a limited range (no idea how many meters). You can also use push notifications with movement detection, which would "see" you at 30 feet away, but it might/will give you more false alerts. There also notifications for sound.

Hikvision/iVMS-4500 also have push notifications.

With both Hikvision/Foscam the program does not need to be open to receive the notifications.
