I don't know if it was a coincidence or what, but yesterday after I opened a new account with AliExpress I got a request from an account manager at a Chinese bank to join my "LinkedIn" network. Their profile looked legit but I'm always cautious with this stuff...
Anyone else this happen to..? Is it spam..?

Viable email addresses are valuable. Why would it not be leaked and sold, regardless of the "privacy agreement." These are people who steal from EVERYONE; why would they not steal your valuable email address?

I know email addresses are bought and sold on the open market. Something we just have to deal with. But what concerns me is why ask to join a linkedIn account. It just seems kind of strange. Unless somebody hacked their account unknowingly.
