I had some issues ( after 3 years) with my Synology system so I decided to move to the omada for its vpn capability. I have an ERM702 router, an SG229 switch and a TL-Sg323428MP switch. The switches are connected via SFP. Of course for 5 months of beginner's luck, everything worked perfectly. However, the rack was a mess so I called in professional help to organize it. Of course, the day before the pro arrived, the internet dropped out and the devices were acting a bit odd. So I reset everyhing and now I am
getting loop errors and port blocking. This ecxceeds my capabilities in networking. I got the basic infrastructure up and running but seeem to have difficulty getting the switch to allow me to get a VLAN IP from the switch. I can get one from the wireless VLAN connection. ANy suggestions? Also happy to pay any netwok professionals for some help. So close yet so far. TIA. The erros are on the 323428 switch only. I do have multiple vlans.

Based off what I am seeing it looks like your Gl1/0/15 to Gi1/0/25 is a loop and the port was Blocked.. The Loop can cause broadcast storms and so the loop caused the port to be blocked. So it is really hard to know what or how someone has something setup to understand what is going on in the logs. Loops are bad. If your managed switches has Spanning Tree I would enable it.

Go to Switches GUI, login, then go to L2 Features and STP, Enable it Globally and then set mode to RSTP it is faster.

When it comes to your switch setups at times because of all the ways things need to be setup and adjusted, It is good to build a road map on paper to fall back on in the future so you can setup things again without having to find out the hard way or having your problems that you have take down a whole Vlan off an error that was caused by something over looked. It is what I do and then I can't find my notes and I pull my hair out for a day while I track down the issue. After fixing it I find my notes lol

Thank you. It was driving me crazy. I suspected it might the be SFP cable so I connected the two switches with an ethernet and forgot to remove the SFP cable!! I also set the GUI to RTSP as you suggested. When I realized the SFP cable was still in, I removed it and rebooted. Now everyhing is perfect . I do try to keep notes, especially with Omada. It sometimes requires a password to readopt every bloody device, so it's imporant to use the same passwords or writing it down. Overall, I found Omada to be OK. WHen it works it works decently and when there is an issue you do pull your hair out. Not a lot of options when you need multople vlans. Thanks so much.
The other issue is that they changed the UI and most of the omada set ups use the previous UI. Intuitive... sometimes.
