Hi,

I have a little problem that I hope you can help me with.
I'm testing an Annke N98PBK NVR and C800 camera and I can't get this "ghosting" (or I don't know how to name this) out of the recordings. Example below.
What could be the problem?

Exposure is 1/2000
DNR is set to 20
The other settings are on the other picture that I attached.

I would really appreciate if you can help with this.

Thanks

We see that from time to time and is just a limitation of the cameras. Especially a budget camera that shoves too many MP on a smaller sensor designed for a much lower MP - the processor can't keep up.

It also looks like this is at a dusk/dawn time frame and gain is too high and can cause that as well.

But sometimes with zoomed in fields of view, this happens.

We frequently see it setting up cameras for LPR even with better cameras.

Here is an example of the trailing tail or fish gill type look in some situations - notice this fish gill look in red and comet trail in yellow:

Annoying, but the plate can still be read and the camera still accomplishes what we want.

I have learned to try not to chase perfection because there will always be a plate that can't be read. I adjust it to capture one type of plate and then it can't read the plate it could previously sort of thing.

Thank you for the quick answer!

So I have to accept it as it is. Unfortunately I can't play with the gain setting, because there are no option for it.
Also this problem is more noticeable with bolder colors (for example: red as in the picture), so it's not a huge problem most of the time.
At least I know why is it happening :)
